And they have support organizations within their walls to answer your phone calls on BASIC questions about your computer. But when you accidentally delete that all important document, or need help installing that new software program, the day to day operations, you're on your own. If your hard drive fails because of a faulty hard drive or a power surge, these companies will help you get your system back up and running, but only the the state at which they gave it to you. That means only loading the operating system, and basic applications. If you didn't properly backup your data and settings, then you're in deep trouble.

Extended warranty. When you buy a system from someone else, they buy in bulk to get a better price. They sacrifice warranty time doing this. Normally when you buy a system from Dell, you'll get a 1 year warranty on the whole system. If your hard drive fails within that time, you're covered, but after the one year warranty you are stuck. And don't forget about your data files... gone too. When we buy our parts its in smaller quantities. They call this retail. We get the same warranty as if you would when you buy a hard drive in the local computer store. Five years or more! And buying from us, we will attempt to do everything we can to get those files back.
